ATHLETICS COACHES GO TO POLLS
The Uganda Athletics (UA) has organized the first ever National Athletics Coaches’ Forum to discuss matters pertaining to the development of athletics in the country.
The one-day forum that will include plenary topical discussions is slated to take place on April 10, 2026, at Mandela National Stadium starting 8.00am to 3.30pm.
Top on agenda will be presentation on the governance of the Coaches’ Association that will later lead to election of the leaders of the association and 2 (Male and Female) representatives
Other activities on the program include UA Safeguarding policy dissemination and refresher on the roles and responsibilities of coaches in development of athletes and athletics.
The coaches will also be introduced to the proposed Coaches’ licensing system in Uganda, processes and its benefits.
The participants will also undertake practical session in data collection and information update.
